The Journey
A Quiet Call Within
My journey into healing began softly, a quiet call from within that I didn’t fully understand at first. I was 15 when my body asked me to listen differently, to care for it in ways I hadn’t known. It started with small shifts—a change in the way I ate, a private commitment to move my body in ways that felt nourishing. I didn’t speak much of it then; it was something tender and new, a conversation between my body and spirit
Lessons in Motherhood
Motherhood soon wove itself into my path. I became a mother at 16, a young age when I was still finding my own footing. With my first son, I felt the weight of responsibility and love, yet I hadn’t yet developed a connection to my body. In those early days, I was learning what it meant to nurture and care for another without fully understanding how to nurture myself.
Years later, after my initial yoga teacher training, I welcomed my second son. By this time, I had begun to find my way back to my body and was more attuned to the world around me. I felt connected and grounded in a way I hadn’t before, and this deeper awareness informed the way I cared for him and myself. Both experiences shaped me uniquely, teaching me different forms of resilience, love, and presence.
Discovering the Power of Touch
In my early twenties, a car accident led me to manual therapy, where I experienced the profound way touch could ease and open the body. It stirred something within me—a knowing that our bodies hold stories and that gentle, intuitive care could unlock them. My path meandered toward massage therapy as a way to explore these stories, to learn the language of healing hands.
Connecting Body and Spirit
The journey became richer as I added tools and practices that deepened my connection to my body and spirit. Thai massage, yoga, and breathwork came into my life, each offering new ways to listen inwardly, to align with the body’s natural rhythm. Breathwork, especially, brought me to stillness, helping me become more mindful, more open to the wisdom within.
Finding Embodiment in Movement
As my understanding grew, I found new ways to inhabit my own body. Movement practices like Pilates and, more recently, the pole and lyra hoop offered me freedom and grounding—a physical language that connected me more deeply with my own form. In those moments, I learned to trust the natural flow of my body, embracing its strength and grace in a way I’d never allowed myself to before.
Here we are now
Intuitively Rooted grew from these layered experiences, a place where I bring together everything I have learned along the way. Through massage, movement, and breath, I offer not just techniques but a space where others can return to their own roots. Here, healing is a journey back to the self, a gentle process of unfolding, a dance between mind, body, and spirit. Each person who enters this space is met where they are, seen, and celebrated, because healing, I believe, begins with feeling at home within.
